I am trying to make this photo book for the boys, (thanks Kelsey for the idea) so we had to take a few more family pictures with James. I love the ones with Spencer and James together. Spencer has finally decided James is okay to have around, but he's not too exciting yet.

Cat Card
Devon bought a musical card for his Dad's birthday. He let Spencer play with it for a minute, and it was pretty funny how excited he was about it. The first ones are just videos. Then after he looked at it for a while he decided Ben the Bear had to have a look too. I wish we had gotten a video of that, it was so cute. He kept saying "Look Ben the Bear, look at that card!" We put it in the mail a few days ago, but everyday he asks me "Where's mine card?"

showing off
Spencer loves letters! He can identify all of the uppercase ones and many lowercase ones. He has to tell us every letter that he sees, and he loves to show off his skills!

Brothers
So I haven't been very good at posting- especially considering that we have such a cute new baby to blog about. He is very cute- but he really likes to be held, and Spencer really likes attention too, so time to post is scarce. Anyway, I think James and Spencer look a lot alike- but they still look like their own person. I keep looking at baby pictures of Spencer and thinking, wow, that looks like James, but in the pictures James looks different. Anyway, here are two pictures where they look a lot alike.

James Gabriel Gosney
James Gabriel Gosney was born on June 28th, 2009, at 2:58 pm. He was 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and 20.5 inches long. Sarah actually went into labor at about 9:00 pm the night before, and enjoyed a relatively short labor compared to Spencer (27 hours). Sarah was able to do a v-back, which for those who don't know, is when you give birth vaginally after having a c-section the previous baby. James did not have to spend anytime in the NICU like Spencer, and is in good health, although he isn't the best eater. However, he made up for that last night, by sleeping almost 5 hours straight. Spencer is adjusting better than one might expect, but he's still going through "Mommy withdrawals." Luckily, Sarah's mom is here helping out, and he loves playing with Grandma.
