St Patrick's Day Bubbles

On St. Patrick's Day our neighbor gave Spencer some un-poppable bubbles- or at least they are harder to pop. We tried to die them green with food coloring- but you can't really tell, unless you look at our porch now- it has lots of green spots. I couldn't choose which picture to put up- so I had to put them all on!

Cake Walk

On March 14th Spencer participated in his first "cake walk." They had kind of a mini-carnival down at the school. Spencer loved walking around the numbers- and he won a chocolate cake!

Trouble with tongues

Spencer always has his tongue out. He was born that way- and I guess it just doesn't feel right inside his mouth. Anyway, that has cause a few problems lately. About two weeks ago he fell off a trike and bit it pretty badly. There as a pretty big hole, but thankfully it healed quickly. Less than one week later he fell and bit it again. This time it was much worse. It was a gaping hole for about 3 days. We got a whole week without biting it again- but just to keep us on our toes today Spencer slipped on the ice and hit the back of his head, and then tripped forward and got a fat lip. He is a busy boy! These pictures really don't do the second tongue injury justice, but it's the best we could get. Let's just say it was pretty disgusting!

I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

Spencer loves to sing "I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home." He also really likes to pat your cheeks- put we have to remind him patting is a nice and gentle thing- he gets a little carried away!

The View

"The View" is the name of the new hotel/resort that was just finished across the highway from our house. It is really pretty. These first two pictures I just couldn't resisit putting on because I have such a cute boy. He was so excited about this rock, and he kept saying "really big rock, really big rock."

This is Spencer and I on a bench in the hotel lobby. those of you who haven't seen me very pregnant can see that this baby must be coming along nicely- I feel huge!

These pictures are all taken of the view of Monument valley from the hotel, or in the hotel lobby. It is a pretty fancy hotel. I guess Gouldings will have to compete for tourists this year.

The things they do

Spencer loves to go to the basketball games. Every time we go to the school he says "ball game?" At the last home game people threw oranges with lines drawn on them to look like basketballs into the stands. Spencer played with his the rest of the game and when we got home he insisted on taking it to bed with him. It mysteriously disappeared in the night- but that was one fun ball!

New Bike

Last weekend we bought Spencer a new bike. He always had to ride the neighbors bikes. Ironically he still always rides the neighbors bikes, but now they have a new one to ride!

"Shoot the Ball"

Last weekend we stayed with Devon's sister Deon. Her boys had a mini basketball hoop. Spencer thought it was the greatest thing ever. He kept saying "shoot the ball, shoot the ball." He played with it all day- even after the excitement from it caused his first head injury! They let us borrow it for a few months, and he still loves to "shoot the ball" at least a few times a day.
