Bluff Fort
We couldn't pass up a chance to stop by Bluff Fort and dress like cowboys. This place is always the favorite for kids.
House on Fire ruin
Day 2- House on Fire Ruin. When we asked Catherine and Kelsey which hike we should do Catherine said one with fewer drop offs. This hike didn't have any cliff edges, but we did take Moki Dugway (a steep switchback road on a cliff edge) to get there. Also, it was Lilly and Jemma's birthday
The whole crew under the "fire." We had never been to this ruin before, it was a fun easy hike, no four wheel drive necessary and a good ruin- we'll be back.
You can kind of see the fire effect. There were a few people there who were photographers that did some stuff with time lapse to make it look more firish- but you get the idea. There were some people there who were friends with some people that are in Kelsey's ward in Oklahoma, small world!
On the way back we stopped by the stream lots of times to throw lots of rocks in the water. What is it with rocks and kids- actually i think the adults were doing it just as much!

Riverhouse with the Clifts
We were luck enough to have lots of people come and visit us in March. First the Clifts came during spring break. Spencer was beyond excited to see his favorite cousin Aurora again, they have so much fun together.
Also luckily a few of our neighbors with 4 wheel dirve vehicles were around for a few days of spring break so we got to pile a few more people in everyone's car and go to one of our favorite ruins, Riverhouse.
Kids inside the ruins
Catherine was not a fan of the kids running along the edges of cliffs, where is your sense of adventure?
The kids found the mud in the river. Luckily most of the kids rode in our car- or unluckily for Devon and Catherine who also got to ride in that car.

Carrie's 3rd Birthday
Carrie wanted to have a princess tea party for her birthday. It turned out really fun. I think my favorite part was that the boys wanted to participate even in a girly party.
First we painted our own teapots (thank you Relief Society junk exchange) just like in Sofia's tea party. Carrie loves Sofia the First.
Carrie was so excited about this pink princess dress until she saw one of the girls wearing her old Sofia dress. Luckily Ember was willing to trade so the meltdown did not go any further. One thing about Carrie is that she feels everything very deeply!
All the girls dressed up
Carrie wanted a pick Sofia cake
James dressed up to serve tea. It was really cute. He talked about it for weeks before.
Spencer, who wears only t-shirts and gym shorts except in dire cases ie church elected to participate by putting on a magic show for the girls.
I love Carrie's excitement. Her grandma's suplied her with plenty of Sofia things which she loved.
Some things about 3 year old Carrie.
Carrie is very independent. She gets her own snacks all the time, which will be nice when she is older but now it's a little crazy. She loves her siblings. She is always talking about her good brothers when they are away and cannot get enough of baby Leah. Carrie is a noticer, she is always wiping up Leah's spit up- which is very helpful. She feels disappointment and happiness so deeply that I think if you looked the word Diva up in the dictionary you would see her picture. We love you Carrie!

Narrow Canyon
Over President's Day weekend we hiked the other side of Narrow Canyon from the Nearly Impossible Ruin to the waterfall. We had been there before, but last time it was spring. We took the principal and his family.
We could get Carrie to walk for a little way if she could follow the Singer's dog Nacho
The waterfall was pretty frozen. It was cool from a distance, but that's a lot of ice to fall on your head, so we didn't get too close.
James got a new hat, he is a funny boy
The whole Singer clan
Gosney girls
James and Carrie both got free rides on the way back. It's a pretty long hike compared to others we have done, but totally worth it.
These are the trees you have to climb through in the creek bed. They have huge thorns, you have to climb carefully.
Daddy and Leah. Leah was a really good little hiker, as long as the wind was not in her face.
So many beautiful wonders to discover here.

Just Leah
So Leah got a Kewpie doll for Christmas because she totally looks like one, look at those chubby cheeks!
One her six month birthday I tried to get some good pictures. She is such a happy baby!

Devon's birthday
Devon's birthday was on February 1st. He got a history book with great pictures
A sandwich maker that we haven't used yet
James and Spencer made things for Daddy
devon's boss bought him a cake, but he didn't eat any of it because he is currently the Biggest Loser at the school. We did break the diet for Scotcheroos though.
The boys were so intent on making this sign of things Devon likes- so cute!
